About

Mildred’s Meadows is based on the principle that local eating is healthier, more nutritious, better tasting, and more beneficial for our local economy and ecology. Getting back to eating whole foods grown and harvested with care by people living amongst us.

Located in Duanesburg on Route 7, Mildred’s Meadows offers locally produced food such as grass fed meats, eggs, dairy products, honey, maple syrup, bread, baked goods, organic & conventional vegetables, and fresh fruit. Organic soaps, natural body care products, herbal tinctures and artwork are also available. Additionally, Mildred’s Meadows offers organic vegetable plants, nursery stock, hanging baskets, cut flowers, mulch, and topsoil. Mildred’s Meadows is committed to utilizing local producers with an emphasis on organic and sustainable practices. Combining her background in the culinary arts and nutrition with her family’s 30 years in the nursery business, Jessica Schworm-Galasso created Mildred’s Meadows to provide an outlet for local producers and to offer the community local food & plant products whose source has been researched and quality assured.

If every U.S. citizen ate just one meal a week (any meal) composed of locally and organically raised meats and produce, we would reduce our country’s oil consumption by over 1.1 million barrels of oil every week, That’s not gallons, but barrels.
